Itinerary Details
Day 01: Delhi- Rishikesh (240 Kms / 6-7 Hrs)
Today morning Train/Drive to Rishikesh. Late afternoon we do a sightseeing tour of Rishikesh, including Laxman Jhoola and Yoga Training Centre. Later take a walk through the town. Evening visit Aarti ceremony at Trivani Ghat.
Day 02: Rishikesh – Auli (260 Kms / 8 Hrs)
Today morning long but exciting drive to Auli. The most important town on the route, Joshimath, ths holy town is full of temples among the other most famous are the Narsingh and Durga temples. Evening is at leisure at Auli which transforms into a popular Skiing resort during winters.
Day 03: Drive To Govind Ghat (1 Hrs) - Trek To Ghangaria (10,100ft/3,079m – 6 Hrs Walk)
Today following the Alaknannda river you stop at Govind Ghat half way up the gorge. You leave the vehicles and walk up the Bhiundhar Valley to Ghangaria. The walk up to Ghangaria is beautiful and you can spot Sikh pilgrim groups on the way. The path rises steeply through rich forest with eventual views of some of the great peaks around. You camp in or around Ghangaria.
Day 04: Trek Into Valley Of The Flowers (2 Hrs)
Today it is a gradual ascent to the Valley of the Flowers. The valley in Spring is a sight to be seen and it will be an unforgettable experience. The valley extends for 10 km and through the centre there is a path, and the day can be spent exploring up towards the glaciers at the far end. Return trek to camp at Ghangaria.
Day 05: Return Trek to Govind Ghat - Drive Back To Joshimath
Today if you want it is possible to make an early start to climb the 3,000ft/1,000m on a zig zag track up to Hem Kund. Poised among a ring of 16,500ft/5,000m peaks it is an incredible place, and the holy temple itself quite a surprise. Otherwise you walk down the Bhiundar Valley to Govind Ghat where your Jeeps will be waiting to take you back to Joshimath.
Day 06: Drive To Rishikesh (6 Hrs) – Ananda In Himalaya
Today morning drive to Rishikesh. You will have plenty of opportunities to stop and take photos or have a glass of tea. Our destination today is Ananda Spa and Resorts. India’s only Destination Spa is dedicated to restore, balance and renew your mind, body and soul through a holistic approach incorporating the healing principles of Ayurveda and Yoga along with innovative spa technologies.
Day 07 - Day 08: Ananda In Himalaya, Rishikesh
Overlooking the forested foothills of the Himalaya, this former palace has been converted into a luxury spa resort. The spa offers a host of treatments including Ayurvedic massage, meditation and yoga.
India Travellers can organize half day white water rafting at Shivpuri and visits to the nearby Rajaji National Park, renowned as an elephant sanctuary.
Day 09: Rishikesh – Delhi (220 Kms / 6 Hrs)
Today morning at Leisure and we drive to Delhi en-route visit Haridwar. Or we can do a short ride to Dehradun to take flight to Delhi.  On arrival at Delhi, we transfer to airport in time for your flight onward or hotel in Delhi as per plan.
